Window Cleaning Price Per WIndow

If you decide that you are going to price your window cleaning service by the window as opposed to the square foot then you will need to determine how you count up your windows. There are many different types of windows. Some are bay windows, some have sides that slide back and forth with a middle fixed pane, some have an arch over top. There are all sorts of window combinations and just when you think you have seen it all you get something really crazy and have to determine how to price it. My San Diego Window Cleaning company has seen it all.

To save yourself a lot of grief you need to have some ground rules that you go by for window cleaning so that a customer can understand how and why you charge what you do. Here are my rules that I go by for my San Diego Window Cleaning business. A window is anything that slides side to side, up and down or is a fixed pane, this is considered one window. If a window slides side to side and has an arch pane over top this would be one and a half windows. If it has a fixed pane in the middle with a sliding pane of glass on both sides this is one and a half windows as well. Are you getting the picture? I give a window two panes of glass unless it’s a fixed pane all by its self, either way its one window. The only exception to this rule is that a sliding glass door is counted as two windows. So once you have determined how many windows they have simple multiply that by your per window price and you have your price quote or what you are going to charge them for the job.
